Unlike the previous episode of “The Walking Dead,” episode 13 “Alone” kicks off with a tense scene and is much more entertaining than last Sunday. On Saturday, March 8, Spoiler TV revealed the synopsis for the coming episode. Major spoilers are ahead.
Episode 13 “Alone” starts with Maggie, Sasha, and Bob. It’s the chilling scene from the promotional trailer, the trio is surrounded by walkers and a thick fog makes the situation a whole lot worse. They manage to fight the walkers off, and Bob appears to have been bitten. Later though, it is shown that the walker bit the bandage that Bob had over a wound, so he’s fine.
They come across signs for Terminus, and all but Sasha want to go. She is hesitant but goes along with the idea to follow the signs for Terminus. Maggie knows that Glenn would go if he saw the signs, so she is hopeful to meet him there.
Next up are Daryl and Beth. Stumbling upon a cemetery, they decided to take shelter in the funeral home. While tracking a walker though, as Beth has been practicing using Daryl’s crossbow, Beth injures her ankle. After paying their respects to the graves, they head inside the funeral home. Their new shelter shows a lot of signs of someone already living there. The place is clean and well maintained, and contains food. They both eat and wait to see who has been staying there.
Back to Maggie and company – The three set up a camp in the woods and Maggie overhears Sasha and Bob talking about how they think Glenn is dead. Angry, Maggie takes off and leaves messages about Terminus for Glenn using walker blood. Bob and Sasha go after her. Next scenes goes back to Daryl and Beth, but let’s finish up with Maggie, Sasha and Bob first:
Sasha and Bob argue about whether or not they should follow Maggie. Sasha’s priority is shelter, giving up all hope that even her brother is alive and preferring not to find out either way. While Bob wants to help Maggie look for Glenn. They split up after sharing a kiss, and Bob leaves to track Maggie. Maggie finds Sasha though and pleads with her. The two girls then catch up with Bob and they follow the tracks together.
Daryl and Beth don’t have such a happy ending in this episode though, well maybe for one of them. Daryl mistakes a dog for walkers and lets them inside the home. As Daryl fights them off, Beth is taken by someone that had been following them for a while. He drives off with Beth in a black car with a cross in the rear window. Daryl runs after the car and attempts to track it for a while, but gives up. I’m excited for this scene the most – why did he give up? Did he lose the tracks or just gave up hope? The two were connecting so well!
Daryl meets up with a man named Joe and Joe’s friends. After a standoff between Daryl and the new group, Daryl decides to join them. A man named Len, however, is not so welcoming of Daryl but Joe agrees that Daryl should be part of their group.
The final scene shows Glenn coming across the signs for Terminus.
What do you all think? Sounds a whole lot better than last episode, right? Two more groups – well, three if you count Glenn’s – are now on the way to Terminus! The question is, who will make it there and who will die before reuniting with the whole gang?
