Early this morning, GDC organizers announced a lineup of new panels, one of which features Telltale Games' highly successful The Walking Dead video game.

The Walking Dead: Crafting a Stylized World for the Mature Franchise is the official title of the panel that is set to feature Jonathon Banks, the lead environment artists at Telltale Games. The panel is intended for all game developers and artists, as no prerequisite knowledge is required. The time and location of the panel is still to be determined, but it will take place sometime during GDC, March 27-29, at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA.

"Telltale's The Walking Dead is the company's highest rated and best selling franchise," explains the event's website. "Attendees will gain insight into the fundamental techniques used to create the art style, what factors contributed to the final art direction of the game, and how the art evolved to fit the needs of production."

Along with The Walking Dead panel, event organizers announced two more panels: The Prototype that was Banned from Halfbrick and Outernauts: From AAA Console to AAA Flash Games. The former features the developers of Jetpack Joyride and Fruit Ninja discussing the failure that was Tank Tactics, while the latter is a panel about how Insomniac (Ratchet and Clank) developed their title Outernauts.
