'The Walking Dead': Fans can't wait to see new episodes

The new episodes of “The Walking Dead” start Feb. 10 and fans can't wait to see what happens next. They have waited a long time to watch their favorite characters try to stay alive among the zombies. In interviews conducted on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9, “The Walking Dead” fans discussed what they were looking forward to seeing in the new episodes.

“I want to know what Rick does about The Governor,” Stephen Simons, from Oklahoma City, said. “Other than Shane, Rick hasn't had to really stand up to someone who questioned his authority. I want to know if he stands his ground or if he folds like a cheap suit.”

According to a report from the Huffington Post, the first half of the season will be Rick retaining his sanity and the group's sense of humanity. In the previous season, Rick was slowly losing his grip on their new reality.

“I want to know what happens to the baby,” Lisa Simons, from Oklahoma City, said. “I don't know how they can keep a baby alive under such circumstances, without her mother, and with zombies and The Governor. As a mother, I'm rooting for the baby to make it. I think she symbolizes hope for everyone.”

The struggle to find formula for the baby was what brought about all the trouble with The Governor. If they had not been searching for formula for the baby, Rick's group and those in Woodbury could have lived separately, never knowing about each other.

“I want to know what happens between Merle and his brother,” Jenna Lewis, from Moore, said. “I think there was a rift between the two long before there were zombies. Leaving Merle behind, him losing his hand and everything else only adds to the tension. It will get ugly.”

Fans of “The Walking Dead” do not have much longer to wait before the see what happens next. The new episodes began airing Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. CST on AMC.
