For some time fans have been wondering if there was going to be a romance between Daryl and Beth on "The Walking Dead." On March 2, "The Talking Dead" addressed this question and Emily Kinney responded.

Before the actress gave an answer, she seemed to take a few minutes to think how to respond. She finally said that even though her character and Daryl have gotten close, she didn't foresee a romantic type of intimacy.
A few months ago, Examiner speculated that they were forming more of a sibling type of relationship rather than a romantic one.
Many viewers would not be happy if Beth and Daryl hooked up. Fans are either rooting for he and Carol to continue to get close once they find each other or they would rather see him on his own. But in a world that is overrun with zombies, survivors become a part of a group. Over time, relationships develop and the members become closer. It is inevitable and it shouldn't be surprising that the two care for each other. Even though they are quite different, they also share some similarities. Beth can stand on her own two feet, or is at least learning to. She can also be emotional, but has gotten better at controlling them and dealing with loss. As Beth and Daryl continue to survive together, they only have each other to talk to, which will make them even closer.
However, a sneak peek for season 4, episode 13 of "The Walking Dead" reveals that the two may be in trouble. The two end up walking into a cemetery holding hands, again, probably not a romantic gesture, and they are attacked by walkers. Daryl appears to be in trouble and tells Beth to run, but she refuses to leave him. A source on Reddit says that at this point, the two characters will become separated.
What do you think of the bond between Daryl and Beth on "The Walking Dead?" Are you predicting it isn't a romantic one or do you still feel that they are getting too close for comfort?
