Everyone wants to know what happened to Beth on "The Walking Dead." The character was missing from the season finale and fans are hoping to find out who took her and why when season 5 airs. While that information hasn't been revealed yet, WetPaint reported on April 14 that actress Emily Kinney met with the writers of the show. So what does this mean? Will Beth live or die when "The Walking Dead" returns?

Kinney did not say what happened when she met with the writers, but could it mean that she will live through the next season? There would be no reason for the actress and the writers to all sit down in a conference room just to say that her character was dead. It would also be strange for Emily to post such a cheerful and happy photo on Instagram of her at the meeting if she was being axed from the show.

However, actors are told in different ways about their characters dying. When Melissa McBride spoke to Rolling Stone about how Carol was supposed to die in season 3, she said that she was told over the phone. Scott Wilson, who played Hershel, discovered he was a goner when he read the script.

So just because Emily met with "The Walking Dead" writers in person doesn't mean that she will survive, but it is a good possibility. One thing that viewers don't like in television shows are unresolved issues. To have Beth kidnapped and to just forget about her would leave a huge hole.

AMC's "The Walking Dead" blog posted some information about the missing character. Showrunner Scott Gimple said that Beth is "somewhere." While that didn't give a lot of clues, Gimple did say that the answer will be revealed in season 5. He said,

"I will say Beth, in some state, is totally somewhere. I’ll say then, that that’s going to be answered next season. And I’m really excited to tell everybody the answer. It might be a little heartbreaking, it might be a little heartwarming, but it’s going to be interesting."

While there is no definite proof that Beth will be alive in "The Walking Dead" season 5, it definitely sounds like it is a strong possibility. What do you think of Emily Kinney meeting with "The Walking Dead" writers? What do you think will happen with her character when the show returns?
