Fans can't wait for season 5 of "The Walking Dead" to air on AMC and there are a lot of spoilers, rumors and speculation surrounding the zombie series. Today, International Business Times posted some spoilers and rumors on the characters. One detail that was brought up is the possibility of Beth Greene having a much bigger arc this season.
Beth Greene, played by Emily Kinney, hasn't had much of a storyline since she was first introduced on the show. Her main role was taking care of baby Judith. However, fans can expect more from her this season, especially with her being kidnapped. Viewers want to know who took her and why. While there are not any solid answers yet, there are clues, such as the cross on the rear window of the car that sped away with her inside.
Beth is also starting to grow up and transition from an emotional teenager to an adult. With someone kidnapping her, who knows what is happening to her. She is on her own and there is nobody to save her, protect her or to reassure her that everything will be all right. The situation that she is in could either break her or make her into an amazingly strong woman.
Emily Kinney said in an interview that she hopes someone saves Beth or that she saves herself. Viewers would definitely enjoy seeing Beth grow up and save herself. Characters on "The Walking Dead" are always changing and evolving, with Carol (Melissa McBride) being the best example of that. Could this big arc for Beth in season 5 show a very different girl? Could this kidnapping situation force her to make choices to survive?
A recent photo posted on The Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page showed Daryl (Norman Reedus) carrying a small body that was covered with a white sheet. Some speculate that it could have been Beth, but the body seems a bit too small for her. It doesn't seem to fit the description for the other main characters, so it seems likely that it was another prisoner at Terminus, someone viewers didn't meet, possibly an older child.
As for Terminus, showrunner Scott Gimple said that it would have far-reaching effects for the main characters. However, the main threat will not be Gareth and his group. Could season 5 have another villain or perhaps the biggest threat is the walkers?
More information will be revealed later today when "The Walking Dead" season 5 trailer is released at Comic-Con. Until then, what are your favorite theories on what will happen with Team Prison, Terminus and what do you think Beth's storyline will be this year?
