'The Walking Dead' 2013: Strange happenings in the last four episodes

“The Walking Dead” airs a new episode from season three on Sunday night March 10, 2013. The episode called, “Arrow on the Door Post,” is described by the Comcast Xfinity menu as “Rick and the Governor contemplate a treaty.” According to EW.com on Thursday, a recent interview with “The Walking Dead’s” executive producer, Robert Kirkman, reveals that a peace treaty is one of many things attempted in the last four episodes left of this season. Look for some strange happenings to make sense as the season ends.

As far as Rick seeing Morgan last week, Kirkman said what many of the fans already suspected. This encounter snapped Rick back to reality a bit because he doesn’t want to end up like Morgan. As far as Morgan’s return, Kirkman said they didn’t kill him off, he’s still out there. Now whether he will take Rick up on the offer to join the group and make his way to the prison, this wasn’t something Kirkman would reveal, but the hint was there.

Michonne passed the test that Rick loosely set up by bringing her along with him and Carl to their hometown to look for firearms. This was Rick’s way of feeling her out to see who she really is. After Carl gave her his seal of approval, it looks like Rick will welcome her as part of the group permanently.

Kirkman said to watch Merle closely as he may go the way of his brother Daryl and change after being around the influence of the prison dwellers for a while. Daryl is also hoping his brother will become more like the non-traditional family they’ve created.

Speaking of Daryl, fans have watched him and Carol flirt for some time now, Kirkman said the two get closer as time goes on. Whether or not they seal the deal with a romantic encounter, is still unknown.

Kirkman said the rest of the season has a lot to do with Andrea, as she does things in the next few episodes that fans won’t understand, but the finale will pull it all together. She’s between a rock and a hard place having a relationship with both feuding camps. Andrea is a key player in what is coming in the future for “The Walking Dead.”

As far as the finale, it will be a real jaw-dropper, as fans will experience something that they never saw coming. Kirkman also alluded to more deaths among the group might be something to look for in the next four episodes.
