The Wailers bring their show to Washington DC and the new Howard Theatre, January 13. When Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh left the group, in 1971, Aston "Family Man" Barrett and Carleton Barrett assumed the title of Wailers and backed Bob Marley on the group's international breakthrough album, Natty Dread (1974). The band partnered with Bob Marley to produce the succession of hit singles and albums that made him a superstar. Now the Wailers lead singer is Koolant Brown. Brown brings his own personal expression to Marley's songs. He sings lead vocals on the band's two latest tracks "Shining Star" and "A Step for Mankind". With these and other new tracks, the Wailers continue making history.
The show is general admission. Tickets are $25 for advance purchase and $28 at the door. Doors open at 6 pm. The show starts at 8 pm. Seating is limited and first come first serve.
