The Waffle House does more than just waffles

The Waffle House in Altamonte Springs, Fla. is a wonderful place to bring your kids. The staff goes out of their way to make sure the little ones are enjoying every moment.

You sit next to the clean open kitchen. The food is being made right in front of you while the waiters stand in the same spot to yell the orders to the cook. The kids really enjoy watching all this action take place.

Their kid menu has a choice of a waffle with bacon or sausage, a one egg breakfast, a two ounce cheeseburger, or a grilled cheese sandwich, and they all included drinks. Instead of having fries they have hash-browns

Their hash-browns can be ordered several different ways from plain to “all the way.” There are eight items to choose from. There’s smothered which is sautéed onions. Covered, is melted cheeses. Chunked, are grilled hickory smoked hams. Diced which is grilled tomatoes, and capped are grilled button mushrooms. There also is topped, which is their Bert’s chili. Then there is the country, which is sausage gravy.

For breakfast the All Start Special is their best seller. The dish comes with toast, eggs the way you like them, grits, a fresh waffle and a choice of bacon, City ham or sausage.

For lunch and dinner they have great dishes from sandwiches to steak dinners. The Texas Bacon Angus Patty Melt is a great hardy sandwich. This is served on Texas toast, cheese, Angus patty meat, sautéed onions, and two strips of bacon with a side of hash-browns

Their Ribeye Steak dinner is their top selling dinner dish. It is a USDA Choice Ribeye steak with a fresh garden salad, Texas toast and severed with hash-browns.

Waffle House has plenty food to choose from. Most of it is very easy on the pockets with wonderful deals like “15 meals for $5” or their great verity on the dollar menu.

If you want a fun family experience without having to spend to much, then the Waffle House is the right fit!
