"The Voice" USA came to its ultimate conclusion on Dec. 17 for season 5. Indeed, at long last, the big winner was selected via audience vote, with the top prize for this TV talent show going to the singer who garnered the most votes offered by those who watch this popular reality program.
So who finally won "The Voice" on Dec. 17?
All three talents sang their collective hearts out on Monday night during the semifinals before voters made up their minds regarding who to support. In other words, after the show wrapped, each person who watched came up with a warbler of choice and then voted in that direction.
To review last night's proceedings, three final "The Voice" USA season 5 contestants sang solos. In addition, each sang with each other and each also sang with his or her mentor. That meant that Tessanne and Will sang duets with Adam Levine while Jacquie sang a duet with Christina Aguilera.
While all three "The Voice" USA finalists did fine jobs, only one of these awesome artists could remain triumphant for this season of the hit NBC television show. So who was it that won the hearts of the most viewers to take the win? Was it Tessanne Chin, Jacquie Lee or Will Champlin?
Before this big announcement was made on Tuesday, a cavalcade of world class singers did their best to divert the attention of all involved concerning this pressing decision. The all-star line-up included Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Ne-Yo, One Republic, Aloe Blacc and Paramore.
All performed for the masses as everyone waited for the final results as did the three finalists and the voted off contestants from this season of the NBC show. The latter included Matthew Schuler and James Wolper, both of whom were sent home earlier this month.
Finally, at the end of the two-hour episode, "The Voice" USA results came in and the suspense was finally over. So who remained victorious? The win went to a very happy Tessanne Chin.
