The first episode of "The Voice" season seven is still more than two weeks away, but Sept. 4 marked an important date as a handful of hopefuls who tried out for spots on the teams coached by Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharell Williams finally spilled the #IAuditioned beans via Twitter. Each tweet reminded viewers to tune in for the hit reality singing competition's Sept. 22 premiere.
The group of aspiring vocalists who outed their show participation represents a mix of genres from rock to country. On the girls' side, the auditioners include Caitlin Lucia, Kensington Moore, Fernanda Bosch, Madeline Boreham, Allison Bray, Clara Hong, Reagan James, Gianna Salvato, Taylor Brashears, Mia Pfirrman, Sugar Joans, Kambria Moncrief, Beth Spangler, Jean Kelley, Kelli Douglas, Mayra Alvarez, Amanda Lee Peers, and Brittany Butler.
Guys who took a shot at making it big include Roem, Jimi Milligan, Craig Wayne Boyd, Taylor Phelan, Joe Kirk, John Martin, Matt McAndrew, Jonathan Wyndham, Justin Johnes, Ethan Butler, Griffin, ehwhenkeem, Grant Ganzer, Josh Farrow, James David Carter, Chris Jamison, Ricky Manning, Weston Wilson, Aaron Pfeiffer, Cole Wilkinson, Luke Wade, Stuart Clawson, Roman Alexander, Cole Wilkinson, Damien, and Jordy Searcy.
Stefani, 44, and Williams, 41, bring fresh perspective to the series, but success isn't a sure thing for either of the newly minted mentors. Regulars Levine and Shelton have dominated the first six seasons of the competition, with the Maroon5 frontman's proteges taking the wins in seasons one and five, and country star Shelton's team members snagging wins in seasons two through four. Only one other coach, R&B sensation Usher, has emerged victorious.
The other super stars who have taken turns as coaches include Christina Aguilera, Shakira, and Cee Lo Green. The 40-year old Green recently made headlines after posting inappropriate tweets about rape, which both drew backlash from tweeters and cost him the renewal of his TBS reality show "The Good Life."
Tune in to the premiere of "The Voice" season seven to see the auditioners in action, and to witness the debuts of both Williams and Stefani. Follow the show's official Twitter feed for news and information.
