Carson Daly kicked off “The Voice” results show tonight, May 6, by introducing the judges and reminding everyone that three contestants would go home tonight, knocking the competition down to five finalists. Then, Audra, Jake, Kat, and Kristen performed The Band Perry’s “Chainsaw.”

All eight finalists gathered on stage to receive some results. Carson revealed that America had saved Josh Kaufman.

Carson asked Adam how he felt about his chances with three artists going home. Adam wasn’t sure what would happen, but he was at peace with everything and hoped America would be on his side. Shakira said all the work she put in together with Kristen would be worth it if she moved on. Usher didn’t know if he was more excited that Josh was moving on or that he was number two on the charts. Blake said mathematically, someone from his team or Zack Morris’ team (making fun of Adam’s hair) would have to lose a member.

The remaining seven finalists gathered on stage once more. Carson told Kristen Merlin she was also safe and into the semi-finals. Shakira was so shocked, she stood up and asked, “My Kristen?” before the two hugged. Carson announced Christina Grimmie was safe and moving on as well.

Christina, Delvin, Sisaundra, and Josh performed “Latch.” After they finished, Carson told Jake Worthington he was safe and into the semi-finals. That meant Sisaundra, Kat, Delvin, and Audra received the lowest number of votes and needed to sing for America’s Instant Save.

Sisaundra Lewis was up first, with “(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman.” Usher said her voice was incredible, and he couldn’t be happier to hear her perform again – he thought it was an amazing performance. Shakira couldn’t help wondering why she was standing there, and it wasn’t fair because her voice is so crazy good. Adam said there wasn’t a bottom four, and the bottom four didn’t matter – all of them are incredible. Blake felt it was contradictory to look for the best singer in the world and have Sisaundra standing there.

Audra McLaughlin took the stage next and performed The Band Perry’s “Done.” Shakira said Audra had nothing to lose, and she left her heart on the stage. She saw an attitude in her she had never seen and for selfish reasons, she would love her to say. Adam felt like this season was surreal that everyone was fighting for their spots. He was confused and didn’t feel it all came together. Blake told Audra she did amazing and said it sucks. He added that Audra is a world-class vocalist and called on the country fans to save her.

Kat Perkins sang “Barracuda.” Usher told Kat the performance took him back to the beginning, and she is an amazing vocalist that deserves to stay in the competition. Adam thought Kat was one of the best rock singers they ever had on the show.

Delvin Choice was last, with “Young Girls.” Shakira told Delvin she had always been secretly rooting for him, and technically, he does nothing wrong when he performs. Adam told America to vote for Delvin and save him because no one sounds like him, and he is of another world. He said Delvin didn’t belong in the bottom four, and neither did Kat, and he’d had enough.

Blake said everyone sang their hearts out and told his team he had so much fun getting to know them. He added that he was so proud and was one small chapter in their musical journeys. Adam was overwhelmed and didn’t know what to say to his team. He believed in both of them and would do whatever he could, even sell himself, to save them both. With that, Carson revealed that America had instantly saved Kat Perkins once again, meaning Delvin, Audra, and Sisaundra were sent home tonight.
