"The Voice" season 5 winner will be one of three finalists for Tuesday night's announcement. The contestants are Tessanne Chin, Jacquie Lee, and Will Champlin. Who will be the next winner and will another judge take the spotlight?
BuddyTV published a report Dec. 17 that broke down the most popular iTunes rankings since "The Voice" relies heavily on those statistics in determining who advances. As of Tuesday at 11 a.m. when voting closed for the season 5 competition, the results had been tallied up.
"The Voice" season 5: iTunes rankings on Dec. 17
#1 Tessanne Chin ("I Have Nothing")
#4 Tessane and Adam ("Let It Be")
#9 Jacquie Lee ("And I Am Telling You")
#11 Will and Adam ("Tiny Dancer")
#12 Will Champlin ("Everything I Do I Do It For You")
#18 Tessanne Chin ("Try")
#23 Jacquie and Christina ("We Remain")
#33 Jacquie Lee ("Back to Black")
#55 Will Champlin ("Not Over You")
Two of Tessanne's made the the top 10, which translates to her votes getting multiplied. As the report noted, Tessanne has had solid finishes the last two weeks by earning the number 1 spot. Jacquie is also in the top 10 at number 9.
The prediction is that Tessanne will be "The Voice" season 5 winner, with Jacquie coming in second, and Will placing third.
If Tessanne Chin doesn't win "The Voice," it will present a huge upset since she has the most top 10 iTunes downloads. It's not just Monday night's votes that play significantly into the finale, but the number of iTunes downloads and Tessanne has everyone beat. If she wins, it will also be Adam Levine's first win since season 1.
"The Voice" season 5 airs at 9 p.m., ET on NBC.
