Carson checked in with all of their coaches, and Blake said the only reason Adam had three people left was because he let him. The coaches felt confident in the contestants they had left.

Then, it was time for results. Carson revealed that the first artist leaving the competition tonight was James Wolpert. James turned to Adam and thanked him for being the greatest coach of all time and told him he had the time of his life. Adam said he was so proud of him, and he didn’t think it could have gone any better.

Usher’s finalist from last season, Michelle Chamuel, performed her new single, “Go Down Singing.” Carson checked in with her after her performance, and she said she is working on her new album, which should be out next year.

The remaining finalists gathered on stage, and Carson announced that Tessanne Chin was the first to move on to the finals.

Season Three winner, Cassadee Pope, sang “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart.” After her performance, Blake presented her with a plaque for “Wasting All These Tears” going gold.

Another Team Blake alum, Season Four winner, Danielle Bradbery, performed “Never Like This.” She told Carson she is touring with Brad Paisley right now, and it was like a family reunion to be back.

Will, Jacquie, and Cole joined Carson up on stage, and Carson announced the second finalist was Jacquie Lee. She and Christina celebrated with a hug.

Cole told Blake he was honored to have worked with him and hoped to make it to the Finale to not let Team Blake down. Will told Adam he hoped to move on and not let him down, it had been an incredible journey, and he would keep rocking, no matter what. Finally Carson revealed the last person moving onto the Finals was Will Champlin, eliminating Cole Vosbury from the competition.
