Tonight (Dec. 10, 2013) two more singers will be sent home and the Top 3 finalist for Season 5 of “The Voice” will be chosen. This recap will give you all the information on what went down during the live results show and who was sent home.
Last night’s live performance show was one of the best “The Voice” has had in a long time. All five singers did well. Three of them landed in the iTunes Top 10 and the two that didn’t were not far removed from it. This means the voting could be very close. No matter how it goes down, a couple of very good singers will be sent home tonight.
The live results show starts off with a performance from last season’s contestants The Swann Brothers. I liked them when they were on the show and am happy to see they are continuing on. After their performance there are some videos and jokes about Christmas songs.
It is then time for the first announcement which is that James Wolpert is going home. Of the five singers last night, I thought he was the weakest and his iTunes downloads were the lowest of the five so it isn't a big shocker.
Next up it is time for another former contestant to sing. This time it is Michelle Shamuel. I had mixed emotions about her last season and I’m not a big fan of this new song.
After the performance, Carson announces that Tessanne Chin is safe and in the finals.
Cassadee Pope is back again to sing her new single, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart.” I could be wrong, but it looks like she might by lip synching which would kind of go against everything this show is supposed to be about. She is followed to the stage by Danielle Bradbury who sings her new song.
We know that the bottom three are Cole Vosbury, Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin. After much drama Carson announces that Jacquie Lee will move on. Carson then announces that Cole Vosbury is going home. This means Will Champlin is moving on into the finals.
Next week the Top 3, Jacquie Lee, Tessanne Chin and Will Champlin will take the stage and sing one last time as they battle in the finals to see who will win this season of “The Voice.”
