"The Voice" 2014 continues April 28 as the 10 remaining aspiring musical acts representing super star mentors Shakira, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Usher take to the stage to perform again for America's votes. According to odds posted to Bovada Sportsbook shortly before the live broadcast on NBC, Levine is likely to earn his third show trophy at season's end.
Favored to win with 7/5 odds is Levine's protege and YouTube star Christina Grimmie, who most recently covered Katy Perry's "Dark Horse." Ranked second with 5/2 odds is Josh Kaufman of Team Usher. Kaufman was the only contestant to earn the coveted iTunes vote multiplier following the April 21 performance show after his take on "Stay With Me" ranked fifth on the top 200 chart at the close of the voting window.
In third place with 11/2 odds is the second and final remaining member of Team Usher, teen Bria Kelly, while Team Blake's diva-in-training Sisaundra Lewis is fourth with 9/1 odds of her own. Just behind Lewis with 12/1 odds of their own are the only two other men left in the competition, Team Adam's R&B singer Delvin Choice and Team Blake's country purist Jake Worthington.
Alone in seventh place with 16/1 odds of victory is Team Shakira's country artist Kristen Merlin, who survived a disastrous technical malfunction during the April 21 list show. A rocker and a country girl follow in a tie for eighth place with identical 20/1 odds. Included are Team Blake's Audra McLaughlin and Team Adam's Kat Perkins.
Bringing up the rear and taking the dubious role of competition long shot with 33/1 odds of winning is Team Shakira's Tess Boyer, who earned the first Twitter Save of the season on April 22 after voters put her in peril alongside eventually dismissed contestants T.J. Wilkins and Dani Moz. Boyer's chances of advancing beyond the top 10 show are limited, as no contestant has survived more than one week after receiving the Twitter Save.
"The Voice" 2014 top 10 performance show airs live beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern time on April 28. Two hopefuls will be sent packing on April 29.
