"The Voice" 2013 resumes Dec. 9 on NBC as the last five contestants standing sing once again for America's votes and a shot at making the Dec. 16 finals. A Dec. 9 afternoon update to the iTunes store revealed the songs that each of the talented aspiring vocalists will perform.
Teen Jacquie Lee, the last of international sensation Christina Aguilera's proteges, will put her own unique spin on the Sarah McLachlan hit "Angel." Lee, who at age 16 is season five's youngest hopeful, most recently earned acclaim for her rendition of "Cry Baby," and enters the semifinals favored to win, according to odds posted by Bovada Sportsbook.
Cole Vosbury, the final member of country music star Blake Shelton's team, will channel his inner Garth Brooks by singing "Shameless." Although the bearded, gravelly-voiced performer has turned in a string of consistently solid performances, beginning with his blind audition rendition of "The Jeffersons" theme song, he's not yet scored an iTunes vote multiplier.
Iconic's the word for Team Adam Levine's indie rocker James Wolpert, who is slated to sing the U2 smash "With or Without You." Wolpert, who scored the season's first download vote multiplier for his heartfelt rendition of "A Case of You," narrowly escaped elimination during the Dec. 3 results show that saw former front runner Matthew Schuler sent packing.
Team Adam's Tessanne Chin will sing the mega classic "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel. Like Vosbury, Chin has performed consistently well but failed to earn a vote multiplier. She most recently covered Katy Perry and Bob Marley.
Finally, Team Adam's third and final representative, Will Champlin, will cover the Fun hit "Carry On." Champlin, who is often praised for Levine for his desire to learn and grow musically, previously earned a multiplier bonus for his Nov. 25 take on the Etta James classic "At Last."
