"The Voice" 2013 continued Oct. 7 on NBC as mentors Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green heard the last of the blind auditions and completed their respective teams in advance of the nerve wracking battle rounds.
Maroon 5 frontman Levine was the first coach to expand his team, snagging Matt Cermanski from the hopeful grips of both Shelton and Green. Just a few acts later, Levine closed out his roster with wedding singer Grey, who impressed the same trio with her version of a Kelly Clarkson tune. The 12 members of Team Adam are Cermanski, Grey, Donna Allen, Nic Hawk, James Wolpert, Barry Black, Tessanne Chin, Justin Blake, Preston Pohl, Ashley DuBose, James Irwin and Will Champlin.
Green added three aspiring artists to his squad in gospel singer Tamara Chauniece, Lupe Carroll and the final voice of the night, war veteran and country singer Shawn Smith. Contestants headed to the battle rounds as part of Team Cee Lo include Chauniece, Carroll, Smith, Kat Robichaud, Caroline Pennell, Jonny Gray, Cole Vosbury, Anthony Paul, George Jorga, Jr., Juhi, R. Anthony and Keaira LaShae.
Aguilera needed just one more hopeful to round out her team of 12, and found her man in potential bilingual sensation Michael Lynch, who caught her ear --and those of Green and Shelton-- with his rendition of "Bailamos." Lynch joins fellow Team Christina members Josh Logan, Matthew Schuler, Jacquie Lee, Destinee Quinn, Briana Cuoco, Jacob Poole, Lina Gaudenzi, Timyra-Joi, Amber Nicole, Olivia Henken and Stephanie Anne Johnson.
Finally, three-time victor Shelton finished his team by adding two more aspiring country singers in Brandon Chase, who delivered the Hunter Hayes hit "Wanted," and Brian Pounds, who sang Darius Rucker's catchy "Wagon Wheel." The other 10 contestants who secured spots on Team Blake include Shelbie Z, Holly Henry, Austin Jenckes, E.G. Daily, Cilla Chan, Monika Leigh, Ray Boudreaux, Sam Cerniglia, Emily Randolph and Justin Chain.
The top 48 will advance to the tension-packed "The Voice" 2013 battle rounds, which begin Oct. 14 on NBC.
