"The Voice" 2013 resumed Dec. 16 on NBC as the top three acts engaged in one last vocal battle for the season five title. After turning in a lovely reprisal of her blind audition round offering, Tessanne Chin hit the stage alongside coach Adam Levine to deliver a clever and decidedly unique remix of the Beatles' classic "Let it Be."
During their pre-performance segment, an emotional Chin admitted that she never would have imagined having the opportunity to spend time with the Maroon 5 frontman, and said that she really looks up to him as a musician. Levine returned the compliment, claiming that he'd never been so excited to sing with one of his finalists.
Chin hit the stage to perform live looking striking in a long, black and white gown while Levine was dapper in a tuxedo. Although her opening bar was a little too quiet, she quickly recovered and the first half of the duo's performance was solid. The second half, however, which began with a fabulous guitar solo by Levine, was spectacular. The infusion of reggae was stylistically perfect for the Jamaican Chin, and both singers brought their very best to the table.
Although the other coaches didn't offer up any critiques, show fans took to Twitter to comment on the effort. User ay_tay_bay summed up the thoughts of many when she shared "Adam and Tessanne singing "Let It Be" was so beautiful #TheVoice."
To see if Chin earns enough support to claim the season five title, watch "The Voice" 2013 finale Dec. 17 on NBC.
