The vitality of Vitale

Vitale was found wandering around Country Village in Jersey City by a good Samaritan who brought the young wanderer to the Liberty Humane Society.  This handsome youngster has bright pink ears and a pink and black dotted nose.  Mostly white with dark grey markings, he resembles Goodfella, profiled here a few weeks ago.  Volunteer Jenny Furlong first met Vitale while she was playing with Goodfella, because Vitale seemed very interested in what was going on with his neighbor.

In their interactions, Jenny noticed that, though Vitale is shy with new people at first, it doesn’t take him long to warm up.  Within minutes he’ll be purring up a storm.  His favorite pastime is to play – all he needs is a toy, and ideally a human to animate it.  Then he is his happiest!  And once he starts, Vitale is tireless.  As his name implies, this is a kitty who’s full of vitality.

Having come to the shelter as a kitten, Vitale is now about 6 months old, which means he’s a teenager.  Like any teenager, Vitale will need a patient guardian to help him get over his shyness so that he can reach his full potential.  While he enjoys being petted, he is nervous about being picked up but he may get more comfortable with this over time.  Like most young cats, he enjoys interacting with other cats and would likely do well in a house that had another kitty playmate for him.  Or he could be adopted with another cat from the shelter – even his twin Goodfella!

Vitale is up-to-date on shots.  He just needs to be neutered before going to his forever home.  As part of LHS’s March promotion, all teenage kittens (5 months to 1 year old) are available for 50% off the normal $120 adoption fee.

This vivacious youngster’s wandering days are over; now he yearns to put down roots in his forever home, with a family he can love and trust.  If you’re looking for a playful, little sprite who will bring a smile to your lips, Vitale would love to oblige!
