'The Virgins' release new album 'Strike Gently'

The virgins released their first album on the Cult Records label March 12 in the U.S.

Cult Records, formed by Julian Casablancas and The Strokes is tickled to represent and produce The Virgins.

Leading up to the release of the album and immediately following it, The Virgins have received a lot of negative feedback for the album. Critics say that the album sounds too much like trendy 70's and 80's alt rock. They say the Virgins missed the boat and "came up short" on the album.

The album is a bit of a change for the band, it shows that they may be trying to change direction a bit, and in that case they're definitely headed the right direction. The album is unique and well produced, if change is on the horizon for the Virgins then they're aiming the right way.

"Strike Gently" is available on Amazon and Itunes.
