Australian band The Vines have released a new video for “Metal Zone,” the first single from their upcoming double album “Wicked Nature.” The single will be available for purchase July 14. While the LP won't be released until September 2nd, fans have a chance to gain access to three songs by donating to the band's PledgeMusic page. Those who donate $9 or more will receive digital downloads for the tracks “Out the Way,” “Anything You Say,” and “Everything Else.” Fans who pledge more will also have a chance to grab other Vines goodies, such as CD and vinyl packs, an original lyric sheet, or a limited copy of a signed test pressing of the album. Todd Wagstaff, who discovered and signed the band in 2001, gave some insight on how The Vines will be promoted around the world on their PledgeMusic page: “All funds raised from these pre-orders will go into recording and financing a new team of radio, publicity and online agents we have engaged around the world to promote The Vines' music.” He also noted the band won't go on a big tour to support the new album, but rather will play select shows instead. More details on this to come at a later time.

The Vines' last album, “Future Primitive” was released back in 2011. That year also saw the departure of Hamish Rosser and Ryan Griffiths, former drummer and guitar player respectively. In 2012 Rosser went on to join Wolfmother. The Vines have continued making music as a three piece. For more on The Vines and to watch their latest video, visit their website.
