The Vines have released about their upcoming LP “Wicked Nature,” set for a September 2 release date. The new release is a double album with a total of twenty-two tracks and is produced by Craig Nicholls. Nicholls co-produced the first disc with Paul McKercher and takes full control of the second. The band released a trailer for the new LP, which you can watch here. Fans can currently stream the new track “Out The Loop” now on their website. The first official single from the album will be “Metalzone” available July 14. The LP will be released via the band's new label, which is the same name as the album title. This will be their first independent release and will allow fans to pre-order the album via Pledge Music. The release will be available digitally and physically as a double CD and double gatefold vinyl.

The band hit the scene with their debut album “Highly Evolved” in 2002. The highly successful “Winning Days” followed in 2004 and featured the hit singles “Ride” and “F.T.W.” The former song was featured in a number of advertisements for Apple, Nissan, NASCAR, and The WB. They consistently released albums throughout the years including 2011's “Future Primitive.” That year also saw the departure of Hamish Rosser and Ryan Griffiths, former drummer and guitar player respectively. In 2012 Rosser went on to join Wolfmother. The Vines have continued making music as a three piece. In the same year, the band posted updates on their Facebook stating they have begun working on their sixth album.
