"The View" will officially begin its 15th season, live, on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) on the ABC Television Network, according to an August 23, media announcment from ABC. "The View" returns with the same lineup of hosts as last season, including Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherds.
"The View" continues its original promise of five women, diverse points of view, tackling the hottest topics in the news.
Guests and new show segments for premiere week, September 6-9, will be announced shortly.
While the lineup of hosts remains the same, there have been some significant changes in the livies of two of the co-hosts. Sherri Shepherd and Joy Behar married on the same August weekend. Shepherd's wedding was expected, but Behar's wedding was a surprise.
Sherri Shepherd married Lamar Salle at the Fairmont Hotel, in her hometown of Chicago, on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Her maid of was co-host, and friend, Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Her wedding will be featured in a September 13 edition of InStyle.
Jo Behar married her longtime partner, Steve Janowitz, in a private ceremony n New York, on August 11. Behar will discuss her marriage in the season premiere of "The View."
