The View co-hosts each gave their individual analyses of Tiger Woods' apology press conference during Monday morning's Hot Topics segment.
The View ladies were some of the last pop media analysts to weigh in on the Tiger Woods apology because the press conference took place at the same time as Friday morning's live version of The View, and even pre-empted the first half hour of the morning chatfest.

Snarky co-host Joy Behar weighed in with her comments of the Tiger Woods apology first: "I felt like he was somewhat contrite," said Behar. "He wrote the speech himself, I heard. You know, I didn't get like a spontaneous truth out of him exactly. It didn't come across. He was renewing his vows to Nike also. Let's get real. He has a lot of money riding on his this guy."

The normally conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck was more understanding of the sex-addicted superstar: "At this point, he said he's sorry," said Hasselbeck. "He said he's sorry to the most important person in his life I assume, and every golfer deserves and Mulligan and I think, what else can we do? We give it to him." Elisabeth Hasselbeck also stated that she found Tiger Woods' embrace with his mother Kulita Woods at the closing of the press conference to be a touching example of the "unconditional love between mother and son."

Whoopi Goldberg, an admitted Tiger Woods super fan, said that she couldn't bring herself to watch the speech: "I know I should have," said Goldberg. "But I just couldn't because I just,...you know,...because I just felt that no matter he did, he wasn't going to make people happy with whatever apology it was. It didn't matter if it came from his heart. It didn't matter."
Whoopi Goldberg said that she not only enjoys watching Tiger Woods master the game of golf, but that she also looks to him as a reminder of a time when African Americans weren't allowed on golf courses or in golf clubs anywhere in America. "This kid is like a beacon for all of those older gentleman in their sixties who got chased out of places," said Whoopi Goldberg.
Co-host Sherri Shepherd was absent from The View on Monday morning, but is scheduled to return on Tuesday.

Comments
Why should people forgive Tiger Woods? Just because he went to sex rehab? Just because he gave a carefully controlled press conference and read a statement that was probably written by his PR team? That's BS!
How about Tiger giving more of his millions to charity? Start with charities that help victims of sex crimes. If he's really sorry, he'd want to help people whose lives have been destroyed by perverts and sexual exploitation.
