So is Barbara Walters really out to get Star Jones in any way? After Donny Deutsch blasted "The View" for its treatment of their former panelist during a segment on "The Today Show" this week, Walters herself has responded -- saying simply that she was never out to do anything to Star that she didn't see coming in any way.
Speaking to the New York Post, here is what Walters had to say about some of the claims that have been floating around out across the internet:
"She was not ambushed. I invited Star to be on the show, and there were no questions that she said she would not answer, except about her marriage to Al [Reynolds]"
Jones was asked repeatedly about her abrupt 2006 exit during the show's interview this week, but Jones decided to mostly keep it classy in saying that it was just time to move on.
