The 15th season of ABC's live talk show 'The View' premiered on September 6, 2011, with hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. They had a very special guest in New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Michael R. Bloomberg, the 108th Mayor of the City of New York City. Bloomberg was first elected to office in November 2001, only two months after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In 2008 he campaigned for an amendment to New York City's term-limits law, thereby allowing him to run for a third term. His efforts proved successful, winning the 2009 election. Gossip had swirled that Bloomberg would be a possible candidate in the 2008 presidential election or would run as a vice presidential candidate. He did neither.
'The View' commemorates 10th anniversary of 9/11
"The View" commemorates the 10th Anniversary of September 11 with a special one-hour broadcast on Friday, September 9. On September 10, 2001, "The View" would broadcast its last live show due to the tragic events the following day and the show, returning to the airwaves on September 17, 2001.
The featured guest on Friday, September 9, is Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former Mayor of New York City. Giuliani was the Mayor at the time of the 9/11 attacks, and was seen bravely charging through the streets of the city, becoming the face of bravery and courage fo New Yorkers and television viewers.
Rudolph Giuliani ran for the Republican nomination in the 2008 presidential election, but later withdrew. He is rumored to be considering a run in the 2012 presidential election.
The day's show also includes author Lauren Manning (Unmeasured Strength) and children of victims of 9/11, and co-host Sherri Shepherd will visit both Ground Zero and the site where construction continues on One World Trade Center. Expected to be completed in January 2013, One World Trade Center will become the tallest office building in the United States and among the tallest in the world.
Who can ever forget that enduring image of Marcy Boarders on September 11, 2001, who came to be known as the "Dust Lady," emerging from a cloud of smoke, covered in ash and pulverized concrete as she fled from the north tower where she worked. Now 10 years later, the former Bank of America employee, whose life had been on a downward spiral since the WTC terrorist attacks, has risen from those ashes and is on the road to recovery. She will recount her story live on 'The View' on Wednesday. September 7, 2011.
