When shopping at the local supermarket for your vegetables be sure to buy the vegetables that are from California or nearby. Avoid the temptation to buy available vegetables that are out of our season, yet growing in other countries. I have been told many times to eat the vegetables (and foods) that are in season for the region in which I live. I have found the health of our family and my personal health to increase in stability when I provide our family with the nutrition from these vegetables that are in season.
