Fans of the “Vampire Diaries” are bracing for the worse when it comes to the killings on Thursday night. The season finale of the show Season 5, Episode 22 has been hinting there will be three permanent deaths with speculation on what popular characters won’t return. According to WetPaint on Thursday, both Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are encouraged that the killed characters won’t be coming back.

The plot leaves any of the characters as potential victims and three will be dead by the end of the show. Very upset by an unexpected tragedy Damon will be focused on holding himself together and fans know that won’t be easy. He will be pushing Bonnie to find a way to stop the disintegration of the Other Side.

Meanwhile, Elena takes matters into her own hands, and demands that Liv and Luke help her. It’s not easy to get Liv to help as there is massive resistance, but Caroline provides her with some personal motivation. The fans are hoping that the story will answer those tiny questions that have not been left discussed throughout the season.

As fans seem to speculate on who might not return for season 6 of “The Vampire Diaries” there appears to be a shift coming for the new season. Will the show finally be set on the Other Side? The supernatural purgatory that has become more and more integral to the plot of the vampire drama might be the place to start the season in the fall and bring on a new focus for the show.
