Fans are excited about the new "Vampire Diaries" spin off "The Originals" and can't seem to get enough about the upcoming series; however, that does not deter from the fans desire to learn more spoiler news from "The Vampire Diaries". That being said, those slated to be on the spin off have been in high demand and Claire Holt delivered some delicious news in an article published March 20, 2013 from Zap 2 It.
While not giving away too much of the story she revealed that Catherine and Rebekah are going to have a show down and it sounds like this show down will be intense. Rebekah is still driven to take the cure (which would be an interesting sub plot on The Originals if she did - but could also complicate things). Holt would not say whether or not Rebekah would take the cure if she got it, but she did say that Rebekah is still driven by the romantic notion of taking the cure.
She also talked about Paul Wesley, the great chemistry and how much she adores his sense of humor; but will we see Rebekah and Stefan make a long term relationship work? Most likely not, unless Rebekah makes some major changes according to the character's portrayer.
Heres what she had to say: "I would love for it to (continue) because I absolutely adore Paul Wesley, he's one of my favorite people on the planet. People don't know this about him but he's so funny. Probably one of the funniest people I've ever met in my life ... I think we had some really great chemistry, it harkens back to the 1920s episode, but like, really? I don't think anybody really wants to be with Rebekah forever unless she changes her ways."
For those of you wondering, Elijah will be back, to do what is still a mystery but exciting news for fans.
