Fans of "The Vampire Diaries" have been teased with the possibility of Caroline and Stefan becoming an item next season, and there are more spoilers out now about the pair and where season six will take their relationship. On May 21, TV Line shared new spoilers for the upcoming season of the series, and the spoilers focus on Stefan's relationship with Caroline.
Stefan will not have it easy next season. Damon was on the other side when it vanished from existence. Before Lexi vanished, she teased her best friend about Caroline and the potential she could see for them as a couple. That potential will definitely be explored next season. Paul Wesley teased that the pair will jump right into dating when it does happen. They have been close friends for almost five years, and they have grown even closer during season five. Caroline was devastated when she thought Stefan was gone for good.
As for Elena, fans can definitely expect some awkward moments when Stefan and Caroline are found out, but Wesley revealed that Elena can't really say anything about his dating her closest friend. She dated his brother after she broke up with him. She "has no right" to judge Stefan or Caroline for dating. It has not yet been revealed how soon Caroline and Stefan will hook up.
TV Guide did have some more teasers for Stefan though. Julie Plec revealed that season six will be a "character-defining journey" for him. He will change even more, and he will need to figure out on his own when he needs to stop looking for answers. That really does not sound good for Damon and Bonnie. Did they actually go somewhere else when the other side disappeared? That might be the case, but fans will need to tune in next season to find out what happened to them. They will be back next season. That is all fans know.
What do you think? Are you happy to see Stefan and Caroline hook up next season? "The Vampire Diaries" will return to CW this fall.
