Fans won't have to wait much longer for season 6 of "The Vampire Diaries" to premiere on the CW. Until then, small spoilers have been released. The latest comes from Alloy Entertainment on Aug. 12. The post revealed casting call information, which give clues on some scene descriptions.
There is going to be some sort of party. A recent casting call was looking for people ages 26 to 38 for the show. There is going to be a party scene that is being filmed in Decatur, GA from Aug. 18-20. It will be interesting to see who is hosting the party and why. Perhaps those that have returned from the Other Side will be celebrating? Elena probably won't be there, spoilers hint that she is going to be going through a lot of grief over losing Damon.
At Comic-Con, executive producer Julie Plec teased that Stefan might fix up Damon's car. Even though it isn't known if she was serious or not, there seems to be a clue that it might happen. Producers are searching for specific cars. They want cars from 1980 to 1994 for a scene being filmed in Covington. What is interesting is that the cars can be any color except red or white.
There is apparently going to be a scene at a diner. A casting call reveals that the show was looking for extras to work on a diner scene in Decatur at the end of July. The age range was pretty broad, 18 to 50. Everyone has to eat, right?
There have been minor spoilers about Elena and Caroline going back to school at Whitmore College. "The Vampire Diaries" was looking for extras to be part of a college scene. The ages they were looking for were from 18 and 32.
Back in July, casting directors were searching for extras to play football. Not just players, but coaches, students, alumni and faculty. It sounds like viewers will see an episode at a big game.
What do you think of the casting calls and scene descriptions for "The Vampire Diaries?" Season 6 will premiere on the CW on Oct. 2.
