"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 finale is airing Thursday night and it has been promised to be epic and explosive. On May 13, TV Guide posted new spoilers for the finale episode, titled "Home." One thing fans can expect to see in addition to a major character death is Bonnie's life being threatened.

On the last episode, viewers were shocked when Stefan was killed by the Traveler inside Tyler. With the Other Side falling apart, Stefan and everyone else who has died could be wiped away for good. With the death of his brother, Damon is angry and he is taking it out on Bonnie.

A sneak peek shows Damon smashing things with a fire poker, taking a break to yell at Bonnie. She told him that she had a plan and she tries to explain to him that she did until her source was sucked away. She also reminds him that it is more than just reciting a spell. She brings up the reason why Markos was able to return. But no matter what Bonnie tells him, Damon is in a rage and ends up talking about how she needs to be motivated and points the fire poker at her chest.

Other websites have posted "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 finale spoilers. Latin Post wrote that the Travelers will continue to try to rid Mystic Falls of magic. If they are successful, the Other Side will completely collapse. Damon ends up coming up with a plan to deal with the Travelers once and for all. He plans to blow up Mystic Falls and gets Elena to help him.

Carter Matt posted the synopsis for "The Vampire Diaries" season 5, episode 22. There is going to be a lot of things that are going to happen. The synopsis reads,

"Heartbroken by an unexpected tragedy, Damon is focused on holding himself together, while pushing Bonnie harder than ever to find a way to stop the disintegration of the Other Side. Elena takes matters into her own hands and demands that Liv and Luke help her, but Liv refuses to cooperate until Caroline provides her with some personal motivation. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) is horrified when Markos uses violence against Tyler/Julian to prove that Mystic Falls is now under the control of the Travelers. With new information from Sheriff Forbes, Damon comes up with a dangerous plan that relies on split-second timing from Jeremy and Matt. Liv's off-hand remark regarding Stefan gets a surprisingly emotional response from Caroline. As conditions on the Other Side worsen, Bonnie takes the opportunity to settle an old score. Finally, Damon's plan causes a massive explosion in Mystic Falls, and everyone is caught up in the confusion, leaving a trail of heroism, sacrifice, relief and despair."

Actor Paul Wesley also told TV Guide that what happens in the season finale will reset things in a way. As a result, the writers will be able to change the circumstances and locations in "The Vampire Diaries" season 6. If Mystic Falls is blown up, it almost seems to be an amazing ending. However, it will also give the characters new, fresh storylines.

What do you think is going to happen in "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 finale? If Mystic Falls is blown up, then what is the meaning of the episode title "Home?"
