In this next "TVD" episode, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) brings Damon (Ian Somerhalder) a gruesome present and insists they do some bonding the vampire way – by committing an act of revenge – but Damon tries to do the honorable thing.

After finding himself in awkward and confusing conversations with Nadia (Olga Fonda), Matt (Zach Roerig) impulsively decides to throw a party. It's at this party that Caroline (Candice Accola) confesses something stunning to Elena (Nina Dobrev) – or Katherine considering the end of the 100th episode – and has to face the consequences of her actions with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Tyler (Michael Trevino).

Elsewhere, Aaron (Shaun Sipos) tries to make amends for his family's past misdeeds and begin a new life for himself. Finally, Elena (or, again, Katherine?) suddenly finds herself in a life-threatening situation with only minutes to figure out how to save herself.

In "The Devil Inside" promo, Nadia explains once Mia does her spell, Elena will be gone forever, which means her body will be Katherine's for good. However, Damon's not just going to hand over Katherine's body to Nadia, which could pose a problem. Plus, check out the promotional photos the CW has released from this episode in the slideshow.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the CW. What do you think of this episode 12 "The Devil Inside" preview?
