On Jan. 3, The CW released the plot synopsis for "The Vampire Diaries" season 4, episode 11 "Catch Me if You Can." Spoiler alert: the synopsis allows fans to get an idea what's to come when the show returns from its hiatus so stop reading now if you don’t want to know what’s coming up on TVD!
The synopsis for "Catch Me if You Can" reads:
A NEW DANGER — Jeremy is furious when Klaus tries to control him by putting Matt’s life in danger. Damon coaches Jeremy as he prepares to take on Klaus’ new vampires, but they find that Kol has beaten them to it. Kol makes it clear that he will stop at nothing to convince everyone to give up the search for the cure. Looking for a new ally, Rebekah reminds Stefan that they were once close friends. When Sheriff Forbes and Mayor Hopkins question Shane about his involvement in the Founders’ Council deaths, Bonnie steps in with questions of her own, and Shane’s responses push Bonnie to the edge of her powers. Elena negotiates with Klaus to keep Jeremy safe, but when danger suddenly appears from a totally unexpected enemy, Elena comes up with her own daring plan for Jeremy.
While the synopsis appears to be vague, a few clues can still be picked up from it. Episode 10's synopsis revealed that Klaus was getting frustrated with Jeremy's slow progress in fine tuning his vampire hunter skills, so he "intervenes." The synopsis above hints that Klaus will put Matt's life in danger, so it can be presumed that Matt is being used as human bait once again. It sounds like Jeremy's anger will do nothing but land him in trouble with the Original and big sis Elena will have to come to his rescue again.
Kol is back, and he's determined to foil the Mystic Falls vampires' search for the cure. The synopsis hints that he may interfere with Klaus' new set of vampires. Will he succeed in getting the town's vampires to halt their search?
Finally, the synopsis hints at a piece of bad news for Stelena shippers – it sounds like Rebekah may try to worm her way back into Stefan's life. Is there a new couple on the horizon or will they keep things between them friendly and how would Elena react to their reunion?
