On Mar. 14, The CW released a new sneak peek preview and a set of promotional photos for "The Vampire Diaries" season 4, episode 17 "Because the Night." Spoiler alert – turn away now if you don’t want to see what’s coming up on the show.
The preview (seen below) gives fans a peek at what's to come when Damon and Elena leave Mystic Falls to visit New York City.
Stefan can't believe that Damon and Elena left town when he needs help tracking down Silas, but Damon assures his brother that this little getaway is exactly what the out-of-control Elena needs.
Watch for Elena and Damon to tear up the town and relive Damon's old party days from the 1970s. Elena and Damon take some time out from reminiscing to make love on a rooftop and feed on unsuspecting victims.
Back in Mystic Falls, will Stefan and Caroline be able to talk Klaus into helping them locate Silas before it's too late? Tune in next week to find out!
The synopsis for this episode reads:
FLASHBACK TO DAMON’S LIFE IN 1970s NEW YORK / THE BAND DEAD SARA PERFORMS — Realizing that Elena needs some time away from Mystic Falls, Damon takes her to New York City, where he lived and partied hard in the 1970s. When Rebekah also shows up in New York, she’s impressed with Elena’s secret agenda. Flashbacks reveal Damon’s hedonistic life in the underground club scene and a complicated encounter with Lexi. Meanwhile, Caroline and Stefan try to convince Klaus that it would be in his own best interest to help them track Silas down, and Bonnie struggles to keep her grasp on reality and do the right thing.
