On Feb. 7, The CW released a new sneak peek preview and a set of promotional photos for "The Vampire Diaries" season 4, episode 14 "Down the Rabbit Hole." Spoiler alert – turn away now if you don’t want to see what’s coming up on the show.
The preview (seen below) shows that Stefan, Elena, Jeremy and the rest of the gang will have a tough time finding the cure on the island and it seems like they will be lucky if they all survive!
Stefan assures Elena that everyone is there because they want to be, but the synopsis below hints that this might be just a small part of a serious heart-to-heart by the two vampires.
Shane has Bonnie and Jeremy and he wants to use them to "raise the most powerful immortal creature that ever was." Maybe it's for the best if they don't succeed, since they eventually discover that "a new piece of information about the cure changes the stakes for everyone." What could be the mysterious new information?
The preview ends with Damon in a tough spot, but still smiling. He has been captured by one of The Five – the original vampire hunters. He knows that he can't kill this man, so how will he escape?
The synopsis for this episode reads:
CHARLIE BEWLEY FROM “TWILGHT” GUEST STARS AS ONE OF THE FIVE HUNTERS — On the island, Damon has an ugly run-in with a Hunter named Vaughn, and realizes he is one of The Five. Stefan confesses his true feelings about the possibility of becoming human again to Elena. When a stunning new piece of information about the cure is suddenly revealed, it changes the stakes for everyone. Jeremy helps Bonnie recognize what is real and what is an illusion, and Shane is comforted by a woman from his past, Caitlin. Back in Mystic Falls, Caroline and Tyler find that their attempt to translate the code on the Hunter’s Sword is futile without help from Klaus, who has his own reasons for solving the puzzle.
It’s going to be an exciting episode that you won’t want to miss, so be sure to tune in Thursday at 8 p.m. to West Palm Beach Comcast channel 4 (The CW) to see "The Vampire Diaries" season 4, episode 14, "Down the Rabbit Hole."
