On Jan. 24, The CW released a new sneak peek preview for "The Vampire Diaries" season 4, episode 12 "A View to a Kill." Spoiler alert – turn away now if you don’t want to see what’s coming up on the show.
The preview (seen below) begins by showing Elena filling Bonnie in on her plan to have Jeremy kill Kol. The witch seems incredulous, and she can't know yet that her help will be needed to accomplish this difficult task.
Just like Klaus warned, Kol stops by the Gilbert house and demands to be let in, kicking the door down as he yells at Elena, Matt and Jeremy. Jeremy is armed with a gun, but will that be enough to stop the powerful Original vampire?
Klaus has a chat with Stefan and he warns, "If you let Kol roam free, then we can kiss the map to the cure goodbye."
Kol is determined to foil everyone's quest to find the cure and he confronts Bonnie in a school hallway. He hisses, "No one can get to the cure if you're too dead to find it!" Who will come to her aid and will they make it in time?
The synopsis for this episode reads:
DANGEROUS LIAISONS — When Rebekah turns down Klaus’ plea to stop Kol and protect Jeremy, Klaus turns to Stefan for help. After an angry confrontation with her father, Mayor Hopkins, over his unconventional approach to ending the violence in Mystic Falls, Bonnie has a frightening run-in with Kol, followed by an unexpected visitor. Klaus complicates the already tense feelings between Stefan and Damon by revealing a bit of Stefan’s personal life, then surprises Damon by asking for personal advice. Elena tells Stefan about her dangerous plan for Jeremy, leaving Stefan in a difficult spot. When the high school’s 1980s Decade Dance is cancelled by Mayor Hopkins, Stefan finds a charming way to make it up to a disappointed Rebekah.
