Paul Wesley will show off his skills behind the camera on the next episode of "The Vampire Diaries." The actor took his first turn as director for "The Vampire Diaries" episode 5x18 titled "Resident Evil." On March 28, E! Online shared new comments made by the actor about the upcoming episode. It will feature the speaking debut of the newest villain on the series.

Markos arrived on the last episode, but he didn't say a word. That will change on this week's episode. Wesley teased the following about the debut of the new big bad:

He's a really good actor. He had a lot of information that he had to unload in some scenes and he handled it very naturally. He surprised me. He did a really nice job. I really like him. He played it really well. He's sort of an atypical villain for some reason. I don't think we've had a guy like him before.

The actor also had more to tease about the episode, and E! Online also shared those spoilers. The actor revealed that one of his favorite scenes to film for the episode featured Matt, who is played by Zach Roerig. He teased the following:

There's a scene between Matt and someone else that I can't name and there's a whole sequence and it's a beautiful sequence. It's very action-packed.

Paul Wesley just barely wrapped up production on this episode, but he is ready to direct something else. There is still at least one more season of this CW series left, so it is possible that he could venture behind the camera again for this series, but the actor is already preparing for his life away from the series too.

What do you think? Are you ready to really meet the new big bad on "The Vampire Diaries" this week?
