'The Vampire Diaries': Nina Dobrev was asked to go naked for 'Boardwalk Empire'

Nina Dobrev has managed to become one of the biggest rising stars in America courtesy of "The Vampire Diaries," but as it turns out the actress was also offered a completely different sort of opportunity at fame.

Speaking per E! News while at NewYork Fashion Week, the actress explained that a certain HBO drama wanted her to play a significant role -- but she ended up saying no to it because she was not willing to take off her clothes:

"You know, I actually turned down something, because of the nudity, for Boardwalk Empire ... But I was really young at the time. I'd just finished Degrassi, and I wasn't ready for it. But I don't think there's anything wrong with it, and I think if you're immersed in a role and if it's appropriate for the role, I say go for it. You just have to find the right role. But I think nudity has to be tasteful and appropriate and not gratuitous."

Nina has been forced to strip down at times for her hit CW show, but typically the nudity here is still of a censored variety due to the show's audience.

Do you agree with Nina that these roles are only right for certain people in certain situations?
