"The Vampire Diaries" aired a huge episode on CW, and now fans are being given new juicy details about what will happen next on the CW series. On Friday, Jan. 24, Wetpaint Entertainment shared new comments made by Julie Plec about what will happen next on the series between Nina Dobrev and the two Salvatore brothers, who are played by Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley.

The last episode was a special episode for this vampire series. Episode 100 will be remembered as the episode that changed everything on the series. Katherine Pierce died, and she looked prepared to face death and end her life. However, the final moment of her life revealed that Katherine had not changed at all. She was not ready to give up. She used Nadia's traveler spell to take over Elena's body. This begins a new chapter for the series.

Julie Plec shared the following about what will happen next now that Katherine has shown her evil side again:

Oh, [Katherine]'s going to be at her best of no good. The thing that's so great is that she's so into Stefan right now and so not into Damon right now, and yet Elena was about ready to re-embrace her relationship with Damon and Damon was all ready to win back his girl, so you can only imagine how that's going to go down.

The love triangle had pretty much ended. Elena had chose Damon, and Stefan was out of the picture. Elena even fought destiny when she learned about the connection she had with Stefan. However, Katherine is truly Stefan's doppelganger, and she wants her man. This will reboot the love triangle. At least, it will do that for now.

This week's episode will be another big episode, and Julie Plec did tease about that as well. According to Wetpaint, the episode will deal with the fallout, and it will be both 'painful and wonderful' to watch for the fans. Katherine will try to take over Elena's body completely, but everyone will try to stop her. It is likely that Bonnie being the anchor will reveal the fact that Katherine did something bad.

What do you think? Will everyone find out what Katherine did before her body died? "The Vampire Diaries" will continue to air on CW on Thursday nights.
