The season finale of "The Vampire Diaries" was shocking, especially when it appeared that Damon and Bonnie were gone for good. However, recent spoiler reports reveal that the characters will be back. On May 18, executive producer Julie Plec and From Inside the Box released some details about Damon and Bonnie.

Shortly after the season finale aired, viewers were upset that Damon and Bonnie were gone. However, there were a few fans that insisted they would come back somehow. Those fans were correct and executive producer Julie Plec confirmed that actors Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham will be on "The Vampire Diaries" season 6.

Even though Damon and Bonnie will return, Plec wouldn't say how it would happen. To add to the theories already out there, she said that there is a million different ways that it could happen. As for those who wondered if they were stuck on the Other Side, Plec said that it is gone.

If the Other Side is completely gone, then where did Damon and Bonnie go to? Grams might have revealed a clue when she told Bonnie that she made a sacrifice for her. Now the question is what kind of sacrifice and will it have any consequences?

As for the other characters, Matt Davis will return and Michael Malarkey has been promoted to a series regular. Also, it was revealed that Tyler is no longer a hybrid or a werewolf. Plec explained that he still has the werewolf gene so he is going to have to control his temper. If he kills again, then he will have to go through the transition process all over again. The Hollywood Reporter wrote that Tyler is the only one that was brought back as a human because of how he died within the boundaries of Mystic Falls.

What do you think is going to happen in "The Vampire Diaries" season 6? How will Damon and Bonnie return? Do you think it will be difficult for Tyler to live life as a human again?
