Fans of "The Vampire Diaries" are still reeling from the death that happened at the end of last week's episode. Stefan Salvatore died big time, and he might be gone for good. At the end of last week's episode, Bonnie and Enzo were the only ones that knew Stefan died. That will change quickly. On May 13, Spoilers Guide shared a sneak peek for the season finale, "The Vampire Diaries" episode 5x22 titled "Home." Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham are featured in the clip.
What happens during this sneak peek? Damon definitely knows that Stefan is dead, and he is not taking it well. He is ready to do whatever he needs to do to fix things with the other side and bring his brother and everyone else they know back from supernatural limbo. The only problem is Bonnie lost the traveler that knew the spell, and even if they knew the spell they would need a bunch of people to sacrifice themselves. That is not likely to happen.
TV Guide did share another spoiler for the episode, and another death will happen very quickly once the episode begins. It is not clear if it is Stefan's death the spoiler is speaking of, or if someone else major will die to open the episode. The site does reveal that this death will cause Damon and the others to work even harder to find a way to fix the mess the travelers have made in town. The mission will become to save the other side no matter what.
Season six has been teased as a new start for the series. The characters will no longer be stuck in Mystic Falls. This would make sense because Damon has a plan to blow up the town, and a preview for the episode shows that happening. Fans are not happy with the death of Stefan though. With Caroline Dries teasing Stefan and Caroline for season six, it is likely his death is not permanent, but fans will need to tune in to find out if he is dead for now or really dead.
