Things are very, very complicated on "The Vampire Diaries," and because of what's going on, some people are keeping secrets, as you can see in the sneak peek the CW released on Monday, April 14, from this week's episode 518, "Resident Evil."
As we saw at the end of the last episode, the Travelers performed a spell (that doppelganger blood, so powerful) that put Bonnie (Kat Graham) through a lot of pain as a bunch of them passed through her, but that wasn't all. We've seen that happen before, but this time, there was something new, as Markos (Raffi Barsoumian) emerged from her. So far we've only gotten that brief glimpse of the Travelers' leader, but don't worry, more is coming.
In this next "TVD" episode, which also marks series star Paul Wesley's directorial debut, Grams (Jasmine Guy) tells Bonnie during a disturbing encounter that there are frightening changes on the Other Side. That's not all that's going on with Bonnie; she also finds out that Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) is working with Liv (Penelope Mitchell) behind her back, leaving her hurt and angry. Liv has enlisted Jeremy, Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) to help track the Travelers and keep them from taking control of Mystic Falls. As for Markos, when Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finds him, he's relieve and disturbed by what the Travelers' leader tells him.
In the "Resident Evil" sneak peek, Bonnie turns to Jeremy for help, explaining there could be trouble on the Other Side. Grams told her the witches are worried someone got out, and Bonnie's hoping that since Jeremy can see ghosts, he can help. However, Jeremy's busy with Liv, and while Bonnie doesn't buy the math tutor lie, he "can't" tell her what's going on. Instead, he just tells her to trust him and shows her the door.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the CW. What do you think of this episode 18 "Resident Evil" clip?
