I’ll apologize. I’m sorry; I messed up yesterday – but, please note that I changed yesterday’s article … on purpose - and immediately after reading my published version.
Mainstream and alternative news should have picked this story up and run with it (once changed) - it's important that doctors and users be made aware – so far, even though I’ve tried, the media has ignored it - possibly because of my failure to present it properly; again, I apologize.
The important part: People are dying and doctors across the nation are not identifying the problem - partially because users don’t reveal they’re using.
Doctors, especially in the Denver area where the adulterants have climbed to 50% of the drug, need to know the reason that users are dying and becoming seriously ill is because of drug use.
Yesterday’s article (after it was changed) featured that manufacturers of the drug, added an animal de-worming drug and a chemotherapy drug to make the drug seem better quality.
Now, and in light of that, some of the symptoms even begin to make sense!
I began yesterday’s article with a focus on adulterated drugs, one of which was marijuana ... (a doctor’s private stash) had morphine sprinkled on it ... opiates being sprayed onto marijuana was something I’d mentioned in another article.
I’d put these two articles together though – because of the common thread - the use of adulterants and becuase how the “high” … with users, eventually but always, ... becomes “just not enough” – part of the “gateway” experience.
What I noticed though (when I began reading the comment section) was that not even one of these supposedly compassionate potheads cared one iota about the people dying and becoming seriously sick. Instead, ... the pothead readers, comment on the type of pot?
That doesn’t surprise me, now that I think about it; potheads care only about how, when, and in what circumstances they’re next getting high! It's what their whole lives revolve around. They just don’t care about others or anything else. It’s a single mindset - a mental illness.
Their ignoring this whole situation, ... the deaths and these serious illnesses of others, certainly does give one a clear picture what they really care about though, … doesn’t it?
In yesterday’s comment section, until I changed the story, virtually every one of the comments of these potheads (who are supposedly compassionate, and concerned about others), fails to even mention anything about the fact that cocaine users across the nation are dying and being seriously sickened by an adulterant in cocaine … and that it's being used in greater amounts since it began the last 4 to 5 years. So far, today's comments are no different.
To me, it’s making sense that it’s being imported to the Denver area (where the Examiner is located) and then cut further as it’s distributed into other areas of the nation.
Greed drives the manufacturers and getting high drives the user - a union made in hell.

John: "Ill apologize. Im sorry; I messed up yesterday but, please note that I changed yesterdays article on purpose - and immediately after reading my published version."
Ok, fair enough. Apology accepted. Thanks at least for once explaining yourself.
John, you are just plain wrong about your characterizations of yesterdays comments...even up until the point you edited your article. MOST people explained exactly how to end these kinds of unneccesary deaths. Legalize cocaine. Then you have government oversight of its production and purity.
Either you didn't read yesterday's comments...or (more likely), you read them with horse blinders on that allow you see only what you want to see. Several people....even before you edited it...commented on the comparisons to the rotgut alcohol that was produced during prohibition 1, and how that ended when prohibition ended and government began to be in the business again of quality control.
Learn how to be more objective. A journalist is supposed to work on that skill...not just report news the way that he or she wants it to be reported. that is what they did in PRAVDA for example, or any other state controlled media outlet.
Robert is right. What were the readers supposed to do John? We didn't say "oh those poor people"? so therefore we are mentally ill? There is nothing that can be done for those people now. They are what is called...dead. What can be done for future people who might injest whatever this terrible stuff is to legalize cocaine so that there is government control, and no more bathtub gin...I mean trailor park meth....I mean cocaine cut with cattle deworming agents.
So it would seem the people posting here care more about people than you. They have offered a neat and tidy solution. Your solution is to say "oh those poor people" and then maintain the status quo. It would seem you are the truly heartless one here John.

John- I drew the comparison of adulterated cocaine to bathtub gin and suggested legalization would at least guarantee the purity of the product, much as the repeal of alcohols Prohibition ensured the purity of alcoholic beverages. You want to continue a flawed and failed policy of a "war on drugs" that leads directly to unscrupulous manufacturers and dealers adulterating their drugs with potentially lethal substances. It's your actions that are leading to these deaths by denying users a safer alternative to the Cartels, yet you claim I am the one who doesn't care. By legalizing drugs you take the Cartels out of the picture and bankrupt them. No more Mexican nationals being murdered over smuggling routes, no more clandestine Meth labs next door, no more money for street gangs, no more Border Patrol agents dieing over something that has a simple solution. I hate Meth and have no love for Cocaine, I also realize our present policies only add to the carnage. It's time for a new approach.
John- Here's an idea. Since you will no longer respond in the comments section (actually, I see your point, I'd be angry at someone using my name) and we have an issue with your deleting any comment you don't agree with why don't we turn this into a moderated forum. We have to register and log in to comment with a third party in charge of deleting posts that violate policy (that would make me happy). That way no-one could post in your name (that should make you happy). Then we could once again actually have a two way exchange (which one would hope would make everyone happy). How about? Sound fair? I'm willing to take the first step John (not Joh N or Goebbels). If your willing to make a go of it and actually debate your stand on the issues I'm willing to play nice. The ball's in your court.
John, in the past article you mentioned a bag you had purchased when you were a user and the said bag did not get you high. In todays article you state the following: the high with users, eventually but always, becomes just not enough, part of the gateway experience. Did you ever hear of Kansas City no-high? What that was; feral hemp as the plants kept producing, with the help of birds, long after the recently admitted to hemp for victory program was abandoned. The seeds were dispersed and the hemp, being a weed, grew everywhere, even in ditches. Due to the ignorance of the time hemp was marijuana and marijuana was hemp. When people bought and smoked the hemp, it did nothing for them, and since hemp was marijuana, and this marijuana didnt produce a high, it spun into part of the gateway hypothesis. People shouldnt use cocaine regardless, but arresting them and putting them in a place where drugs are readily available isnt the answer.
Why don't you spend your time fighting child molesters and kidnappers who devastate this country. Calling people potheads who don't use drugs is like call African Americans n------. I bet John did not know that the prohibition of drugs is a civil rights violation and another legacy of racism in this country. I think that once prohibition is over John will continue to write for the "Klan" in his white bread fantasy world.

Prohibition of drugs is NOT a civil rights issue. There is no right to take drugs. Smokers tried to tie their cause to civil rights when the issue was secondhand smoke and the right to smoke in public places. They lost.
Drugs are a health issue. Drugs are dangerous, which is why they are strictly controlled as with doctor's prescription,
Discrimination involves a law that is unequally applied. Drug laws are equally applied. One could argue that unequal penalties for crack and cocaine discriminate as certain groups use crack as opposed to cocaine; the solution is not legalization.
The argument that one has the right to take drugs because one hurts only himself is incorrect, because addiction affects the family, friends, co-workers and society in general. It also adds to health care costs, prison costs, homelessness, domestic violence, etc.
Civil rights involve rights which are beneficial such as voting, education, work, etc.

Adults have the right to take drugs - just the same as they have the right to go sky diving, bronco busting, and ski jumping. You don't have the right to bust a bronco in my living room. But Dave has the right to go bronco busting - however likely he is to break his bones and affect his family, friends, co-workers and society in general. Same for beer drinking.
Yet when it comes to cannabis, there seems to be a strange exception to the Bill of Rights, Constitution, and plain old fashioned common sense.
But, any excuse will do, when it comes to jailing adults for cannabis. That's the agenda. Adults must always be jailed for cannabis, all else is secondary.

Dave: "Discrimination involves a law that is unequally applied. Drug laws are equally applied. One could argue that unequal penalties for crack and cocaine discriminate as certain groups use crack as opposed to cocaine; the solution is not legalization."
Of course the solution is certainly to return to the rights (and responsibilities) that all Americans once shared - names, freedom over their own bodies. (If one does not own one's own body, the concept of ownership has little meaning.)
Dave: "The argument that one has the right to take drugs because one hurts only himself is incorrect, because addiction affects the family, friends, co-workers and society in general."
That's a selective and specious argument, which could be better applied to overeating, swimming in the ocean, driving too fast, rock climbing and sky diving.
Dave: "Prohibition of drugs is NOT a civil rights issue."
So YOU assert.
Dave: "There is no right to take drugs."
Sure there is. The right over one's own body includes doing what one chooses - as long as it does not violate other persons' rights.
Dave: "Smokers tried to tie their cause to civil rights when the issue was SECONDHAND smoke and the right to smoke in public places. They lost."
Why do prohibitionists like to over-generalize - why they hope they can use it as excuse for jailing pot smokers.
SECONDHAND smoke affects other people. Adults are allowed to smoke tobacco in the U.S.
Dave: "Drugs are a health issue. Drugs are dangerous, which is why they are strictly controlled as with doctor's prescription"
Some drugs (like alcohol and tobacco and Vioxx and thalidomide) have lethal doses - one cigarette contains enough nicotine to kill a man, for example.
Dave, what's the lethal dose for cannabis, do you know?
English: "Yesterday's article (after it was changed) featured that manufacturers of the drug, added an animal de-worming drug and a chemotherapy drug to make the drug seem better quality."
"During Prohibition days, the federal government ordered industrial alcohol supplies poisoned in order to harm anyone using them for beverage purposes, even though alcohol consumption was legal. A student of Nixon administration drug control efforts found that CIA agents assigned to the Office of National Narcotics Intelligence (ONNI) proposed poisoning supplies of illicit cocaine to sicken and kill users. Their plan was disapproved. Later another plan, to poison marijuana supplies with paraquat, was approved. This has become a highly publicized law enforcement technique."(Richard L Miller, Drug Warriors and their Prey, 1996, pg 184-187)
whoa, pill poppers are dying everyday from overdose, and those drugs are regulated. maybe marijuana should be regulated.
Your story is fear mongering. theres bound to be abuse with anything, but nothing will compare to the havoc, death, and broken families which result from prohibition. Eventually the crabby, shortsighted older generation will die off and America will be able to move forward. I'm sure you believe what you are saying, but find a more important subject. And one you actually informed about.
your article about adulterants was about cocaine, not marijuana. MJ is rarely ever adulterated (except with pesticides, perfumes or flavorings on rare occasions, RARE occasions).
If you're doing cocaine, you're an idiot to begin with and if you die thats darwin for you. By doing cocaine you are already accepting the risk of a sudden, out-of-the-blue heart attack or stroke. I think if you're willing to accept that risk, snorting god knows what else with the coke isnt that far of a leap. the only thing that would decrease the risk of cocaine is to legalize it, and regulate access, concentration, and purity.
Dont confuse you're druggies. Cokeheads might smoke pot, but potheads rarely (usually never) do coke. We are different breeds of people, taking drugs that are polar opposites in every way. Saying cokeheads are anything like potheads is like saying cats are like dogs. Sure, some breeds may have similarities with the other species, but rarely.
I do care about people dying. thats why i want drugs legalized. less people will die. your logic makes no sense. you want us to care about deaths...but you yourself provide no alternative solution. what, you want to send all addicts to jail? as if thats going to help them!? the only way to reduce drug causalties is to regulate them, not keep them de-regulated in a black market where anyone can cut it with anything and re-sell it for profit.
the doctor's stash:
people who sell marijuana do not lace their product with other drugs. it costs more, dealer gets less profit. only the consumers lace it with something, as in the case of the doctor. If they decide to do it, thats their choice. no dealer or grower in their right (financial) mind would lace marijuana with morphine or anything else because it decreases their profit.
and no, lacing marijuana with morphine is not a great way to get customers addicted. it's a great way to loose all of your business, because no pothead i know wants to buy weed that has who-knows-what sprayed on it. dealers that mess with their weed are promptly boycotted and go out of business within a week, never to do business with the same customers again.
And my mindset does not revolve around the next fix. i have plenty of money, i have a steady job, a family, and a busy, active lifestyle. I have little time to sit around all day waiting until it's time for my next joint. i smoke once, maybe twice a week only on friday nights, camp outs, and special occasions. I go through my week without even thinking about weed (until your articles pop up on my google news feed and tick me off). I dont worry about getting my next fix: i have enough saved up to last me a month if i smoked every day, half my neighbors have pot plants in their houses, and if i bought myself a chain-smoking lifetime supply of it, i'd still have enough money left over to send my kids to college, buy a thousand foot yacht and do nothing the rest of my life.
You are completely wrong john. potheads dont run around fiending for the next fix like heroin addicts. most of us lead normal, functional lives. just out methods of relaxation are not widely accepted.
John says..."To me, its making sense that its being imported to the Denver area (where the Examiner is located) and then cut further as its distributed into other areas of the nation."
Are you implying that the Examiner is somehow involved?
I was surprised that none of the media picked up the story in even in the Denver area. If doctors don't recognize the symptoms and hundreds are sick from these drugs that are cutting cocaine, doctors and cocaine addicts and crackheads should be apprised of it.
But wait, if it were legal, wouldn't the government be able to regulate how marijuana was grown, thus guaranteeing that marijuana would not be laced with anything? Marijuana, when grown safely and not laced with anything has never, and will never kill anybody.
To put your article in perspective: two users, with a combined use of 19 years (12 years and 7 years of use), have never come across any marijuana that had been laced. This can also be confirmed by drug test of the user of 12 years, allowed to test positive for marijuana and nothing else.
Got something to say?
