Concerts, Tours and Shows, that’s Cisco, Tymm and Squalie, are well-known in the West coast, as well as across the globe as they hit a home-run this past weekend. CTS fulfilled and conquered the real meaning of Urban Legends-a once in a lifetime performance, which by the way, all five, national recording, soulful artists of the late 80s and 90s delivered first class acts, inside the Theater For The Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood with a magnificent show.
Upon arriving to a jam-packed theater, with people in every corner in the building scrambling to find their seats, get a drink or just mixing and mingling, a Neo-Soul, Urban/R&B artist named Clearthur, better known as Cleer, started warming the audience up with his top of the chart hit “So Good.” By the way, that single was so lyrically good, the Las Vegas spectators wanted to know more about what's next for that “Perfect Man” (Cleer’s other single) Cleer. For that reason, click on http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/cleer and maybe find out what Cleer is all about.
Soon after Cleer’s performance, in between grooving and moving, FM Power 88’s own music director, DJ Benzo, knew exactly what to do as he kept the party popping, while the crowd continued to wait on each R&B family of singers. That being said, the first to entertain was the amazing After 7. After 7 entered gracefully, strutting oh so fresh and so clean, wearing angel white from head to toe. It's no surprise that Keith Mitchell, Kevon and Jason Edmonds decided to return to Vegas receiving much love as they interacted with the crowd, while purposely knocking the ladies off their feet with songs like “Baby I’m For Real,” “Night Like This,” (Also performed on BET 2011 Awards) and “Can’t Stop.” After 7, if it’s not known, let the record show, that these mastered vocalists are always welcomed with open arms to the city that never sleeps. After 7 left the amplified, Planet Hollywood so aroused, K-Ci and JoJo had no choice but to run near the edge of the stage with a vengeance- fueling the heartbeat of women's listening desires, while K-Ci’s famous, stimulating, musical gesture “Oooh Yea” resonated throughout the auditorium. Needless to say, the crowd jumped off into a unified, uplifting frenzy. The two brothers paced simultaneously from one end of the stage to another, each gripping their microphones with perfect, pitched harmony, showing off their incredible K-Ci and JoJo classics like “Crazy,” “Tell Me It’s Real” and the unforgettable, “All My Life.” Undoubtedly, everyone there had to be wondering where these brothers been hiding because they are truly missed.
Meanwhile, surprisingly, another national recording Urban Legend, highly recognized from the same R&B era, just so happened to be hanging out on the side of the stage and was motioned front and center by K-Ci and JoJo. T-Low, from the close knit group NEXT, stepped in to lend a live snippet of his high-octane, vocal range. However, taking a minute to hollar at Mr. T-Low Brown, he was overwhelmed with enthusiasm and expressed that all three of the original members are back together again, on a constant grind in the studio, working on their flavor of music. In fact, they’re anticipating a new album toward the top of the year, which is entitled “Music 101.” T-Low communicated that their focus is to take the music back where they left off; it's simply baby making R&B music. We can’t wait for that. Oh yea!
The Urban Legends review is hardly over. FYI, this fabulous event lasted a little past three hours; therefore, great reading is non-stop! Nevertheless, Dru Hill,TonyToniTone and BBD got so much juice and was cool enough to share some vital information.
Also, be on the look out for Concerts, Tours and Shows, aka CTS, presenting the hottest, baddest, live peformances on dry land, in Las Vegas and beyond!
