The Ups and Downs of Supernatural

Fans of the CW television show Supernatural have had much to be happy about in the last week. The show returned from its winter hiatus on Wednesday leaving fans devastated over the most recent events. Many wonder if Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) will be able to forgive the angel Castiel (Misha Collins) for his mistakes again. Fans are also mourning the loss of the angel Samandriel, or Alfie as he is also known.

CW president Mark Pedowitz has also recently spoken of a possibility of a ninth season. While the actors are under no contract for another season, he says he believes the show is in a great place creatively and also viewer wise. The future of the show will depend on viewer numbers now that the show has returned from hiatus. The show's viewer numbers have increased since the show was moved from Fridays to Wednesdays this season.

Fans seem to be having mixed reactions to the show having yet another season. While many don't want it to end, others complain that the story has gone on too long and has dragged out what should have already ended. Many fans are curious how the show's writers will wrap up the Winchester brother's plight and end the show.

Supernatural also recently won The People's Choice Award for Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show for the second year in a row (and third time ever).

You can catch Supernatural on The CW Wednesdays at 9 P.M.
