I love the concept of the Universal Consciousness, also known as the Universal Mind. I see it as a Spiritual data base, and I love that we can tap into this vast ocean of knowledge. Let’s start today’s column with some excerpts from one of the best explanations of the Universal Consciousness/Mind that I’ve ever read, written by Tania Kotsos, and you can read her article in its entirety on the wonderful Mind Your Reality.com website:
“…whichever way you cut it, you come to the one unavoidable conclusion: there is but one consciousness of which your consciousness must be a part, and ‘a part,’ as Charles Hannel said, ‘must be the same in kind and quality as the whole, the only difference being one of degree.’”
“…The nature of the Universal Mind is Omniscience (all knowing), Omnipotence (all powerful), Omnificence (all creative), and Omnipresence (always present). Know that this too is your nature. You have access to all knowledge, known and unknown; you have access to an infinite power for which nothing is impossible; you have access to the limitless creativity of the One Creator. All these attributes are present within you at all time in their potential form.”
What Kotsos has written makes perfect sense when you view the soul as what it is: a piece of God/Source/Creator. We are made of the same stuff, and we are connected to God/Source/ Creator via the Universal Mind. Here’s a little something that my Guide, Selena, channeled on this subject:
Greetings to all, and let us talk about the gathering of information and the formulation of ideas. Every day your unconscious mind is receiving information from your Higher Self and pulling information from the great Universal Consciousness, information that, when downloaded into the conscious mind, becomes an idea. Great ideas come to many in body, yet few act on them. Often you will have “action thoughts,” meaning you have a gut reaction to something and act accordingly. Sometimes a thought will pop into your head about something you should do later, and sometimes thoughts will enter your mind about something that needs improvement. All of these things can be placed into the category of ideas; yet there is so much more that can be accomplished when you sit quietly and allow your unconscious mind to tap into the Universal Consciousness.
It is no accident, the phrase that “Great minds think alike,” and history shows that different people often come up with the same great idea at almost the exact same time (Example: Tesla and Edison and the harnessing of electricity). How many times have you read about something and said to yourself, “I had that idea!” The bottom line of today’s message is that by sitting in silence for a few minutes, and then paying attention to the information that comes through, you will awaken to great ideas, ideas that will make your life and mission easier, ideas that will allow you to fulfill your dreams, and ideas that may well help others as well. That is the POWER OF YOU. Go in peace.
And so dear Readers, what I intend for us to take from today’s column is this: Because we are a piece of God/Source/Creator, we can access the Universal Consciousness/Universal Mind—we all have this power. What’s the best way to do it? While many of us tune in during sleep, meditation is the best way I know of to access the Universal Mind; that said, daydreaming is another great way to tap in, too! Namaste.
