The Unity group protests at Fairview shopping center

Frigid conditions Saturday morning didn’t deter the focus of the dozen members of the Unity Group of Montreal during their gathering at Fairview shopping center, on the corner of St-John’s and Brunswick Blvd.

“Is something wrong at Fairview?” is the slogan taken, as the cause is to boycott the west island retailer because of the lack of bilingual signs within the stores.

“As an anglo, it feels like we are being erased, not worth it, and forgotten” said Sonia Mullins, one of the organizers.

The Unity group plans to continue their protests at Fairview, every weekend until Christmas.
