The Unconference returns to Kansas City on August 21

iKC: The Unconference returns in 2014 with the unique open-format to facilitate conversations and collaboration. It will take palce on Thursday, August 21 at Union Station, 30 W. Pershing Road, Kansas City, MO.

The event is powered by KC Chamber and Think BIG Partners, and is billed as the only conference in Kansas City where the agenda, format and topics are completely directed by the event's attendees. And, it's geared to serious entrepreneurs and innovators ready to build and grow their businesses.

Single tickets are $65. Student tickets are $25.

Major sponsors include H&R Block and Hallmark Cards.

Additional entrepreneurial resources in the area include, Startup Rewind, which provides a monthly voice for Kansas City area entrepreneurs and startup companies to share their stories.

The program helps to get the word out about new companies and ideas, while gaining feedback from the community of business leaders and other entrepreneurs. Organizers explain that the program helps foster business networking and encourage those entrepreneurs who are creating tomorrow's big ideas.

Startup Rewind takes presentation made at other entrepreneurial events from the entrepreneur scene in Kansas City and replays them again.

Each month, local entrepreneurs have six minutes to pitch their idea followed by questions and feedback from the audience. That feedback will help encourage and grow their ideas and in turn build a stronger community through business and entrepreneurship.

Startup Rewind meets once monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at the Deer Creek Country Club in Overland Park, KS from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
